I choose Daniela like my best travel companion, because I think that we have a lot of thing in common.

Both want to know Europe, different countries of this continent and really learn about their cultures.

Reflective essay.

I found the course very interactive and dynamic, and perform many activities that enriched my learning. With class discussions achieved hear the views of others and to express equally.

Subjects saw how the media and the effects on our lives, which I think very important for these times where technology is in everything.

Relationships, success and tourism were also issues that we saw, which were interesting I learned things I never knew of each of the topics and vocabulary related to such issues.

I learned a lot about grammar and achieve understanding topics such as conditionals that were not simple, but I managed to understand with the help of the teacher. I am aware that I need a little practice and try to talk some more to learn the language and to express myself one hundred percent in English.

1.      Did you like the movie? Why? Why not?

Yes, I liked the movie. I think that the movie is funny and interesting, see how the media have a big importance in our diary live.

2.      How was the impact of the media in her life?

I think that in the case of the actress, the media play an important step. As she begins to feel insecure and believes the best way to find a supposed truth that only lives in her mind about the life of her boyfriend, is intervening and checking the phone, mail and any media where she can information from his past.

Culture.

There are a lot of cultures in these two countries: Portugal and Italy.

Portugal is a country with a long history, it has several ancient architecture structures like museums, churches, castles and others. Portugal has a rich traditional folklore include circle dance, fandango and vira. About the food of this country, in their dishes you find various kinds of meads seafood and Cozido a Portuguesa (a Portuguese setew).

It is known to wine lovers and winemakers. In the past it was associated with it is God of wine Bacchus, and today many Portuguese wines are known as some of the world’s best.

The second country is Italy, the northern area is highly industrialized and urbanized, and it is here where we can find the architecture and has strong Roman influences. In the dishes or food, pasta was generally part, but there are regional differences in what it is eaten and how food is prepared.

Each country has a different culture.

                                                                          Food.

I really love food, it is necessary, because it help us to have energy. I like too much kinds of dishes, for example pizza, that is supposedly of Italian origin, Mexican food like tacos and nachos. I think that it is important to eat a bit of different kinds of food, meat, vegetables, fish, each one is necessary to our diet.

I cannot forget to mention the food from our country. Costa Rica has a lot of typical dishes, like gallo pinto, tortillas, chorreadas, pozol and the list goes on and on.

Of course, I do not change the food of Costa Rica for any other; it is the best of the world.

 

              Essay 3. Hobbies.                                                            

People normally have hobbies, but do they really know the importance of dedicating time to ourselves? 

I think that in these times, people live stressed, so it is very important to do things that you really like and try to have fun a bit.
I remember when I was a child, I played with my friends and neighbors, we dedicated a lot of time to learning but with fun. We played all the day and sometimes invented new games.
And now, my hobbies have changed, I like reading, dancing, cooking, but the one I enjoy most is spending time with my family. We try to make new things and activities, like going to the beach, the mountain and maybe a lake.

What did I learn­?

I learned so much in vocabulary, in addition to respect other people thought of the various relationships.

 

What did I like the most?

What I liked most was being able to express myself and also to hear the opinion of others, as well as enrich my vocabulary to participate with my classmates. The video in which children of different ages expressed their thoughts on the relationship between homosexuals was very interesting to see how they reacted and conclude that sometimes when they see it in a negative way it is because of their upbringing.

 

What did I like the least?

I think all the activities we did were important in learning.

 

Platypus

What did I learn­?

I learned about different cultures and as in all parts of the world, the vision and beliefs change . In addition to this project I have more knowledge about some animals, where they live and what is their importance in itself.

What did I like the most?

Participation and interaction that there was at the time of the activities.
It caught my attention as different cultures, such as neck rings or small shoes, how important is the culture in which we grow.

What did I like the least?

I would have liked to have given more emphasis on the place or tourist destination as well as the animal.

What did I learn­?

I learned about the project and the class in general, that not all people who have a university degree could be successful; it depends on many things and situations in life. Maybe when people hear the word success, they think in working life, but the reality is that success is involved in all aspect of our lives. I learned vocabulary about the topic and the point of view of others in terms of success.

What did I like the most?

What I liked most was the interaction with others and discuss such an important topic as success , I found it interesting interview a person without study and this person told me that in some aspects of his life he feel successful .

What did I like the least?

I think that was an interesting topic, I liked all and each of the realized activities.

 

The media.

What did I learn­?

Every day we use the media and for us it is very normal, we are accustomed to how fast technology advances and the different media that are implemented.

But how many times we have thought about the impact of media on our lives? It was one of the things I learned, along with new vocabulary about the media.

What did I like the most?

The video that we made I really liked, was a different experience.

What did I like the least?

Maybe what I liked least was to see how many people have flaws; many teenagers are influenced by thin bodies, product from the influence of the media.
